Christians on Campus is medium-sized Christian Organization composed of undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Chicago. We hold the tenets of the faith common to all Christians:
- Bible is the Word of God (2 Tim 3:16, 2 Pet 1:21)
- God is Triune, uniquely one, yet three (Matt 28:19, 1 Tim 2:5a)
- God was incarnated as a man, Christ Jesus (John 1:1,14)
- Christ lived a human life and died for our sins to redeem us by His blood
- After 3 days Christ was resurrected from among the dead
- Christ ascended to the heavens, and now is at the right hand of God
- He will come back again to receive the believers
We have fellowship with all genuine Christian believers, and are open to all peoples. We love the Lord Jesus, and seek to help one another to grow in the Lord during our college years by enjoying the Word of God, developing healthy spiritual practices, and “[pursuing] with all those who call on the name of the Lord out of a pure heart” (2 Tim 3:16). We also connect with sister clubs from other campuses in the Chicago area such as Univeristy of Illinois in Chicago, DePaul, Roosevelt, Northwestern, etc., and we have monthly, quarterly, and yearly events in the city or Midwest region. We have Bible studies every Monday (see website for more details) and small group gatherings in Hyde Park every Friday. Come and join us!
